The Mesa County Clerk
is also known as the Mesa County Clerk & Recorder. The Mesa County Clerks
is responsible for issuing and recording Marriage Licenses, recording all Real
Estate transactions, issuing Liquor Licenses, registering Voters, conducting all
Primary, General and County elections, operation of Motor Vehicle Divisions in
Grand Junction, Fruita, Clifton, and Orchard Mesa, for titling and issuing license
plates.
As a multi-faceted organization, the office of the Clerk and Recorder is dedicated
to providing consumer friendly customer service. In the mission to providing
the community with excellent services the clerk has many obligations by administering
the Recording , Motor Vehicle, Clerk to the Board, and Elections divisions pursuant
to the state statutes in order to serve the citizens of Mesa County and other
governmental agencies in a professional and proficient manner while maintaining
the integrity of this elected office.
